I have stayed at this hotel about five times during the past ten years and it remains as fantastic as ever - in fact, more so because the competiton is so much greater now. It has always stayed the same - and the same is excellent.
Prague is surely Europe's most beautiful capital city and this hotel, perched up on the hillside by the castle, does the city justice.
The best rooms are the ones just below the level of a suite - they are cheaper than the suite but are better rooms because the space works best as one large room. Everything works - enormous bathroom, comfy beds, tasteful furniture, cheap minibar, free wifi, stereo system, dvd player. And all this for less than 100 euros per night. The staff are friendly and in a city which suffers from rip-off taxi drivers, they have an agreement with a driver (whom they have worked with for as long as I've been staying there) which means you get affordable, reliable service. This is important because the beauty of Domus Henrici's location also means you are always too far away to walk back at the end of the evening (it's not so much the distance, it's the hill).
Domus Henrici really does have it all. It is understated luxury, not at all showy, and fantastic value. Just make the booking - but not when I want to go there as they only have a few rooms and I don't want to stay anywhere else!

My wife and I spent 3 nights in this very nice hotel which is quiet and very well located. All the staff is very efficient and reliable (from the kind driver who picks you up at the airport to the ladies from the hotel reception). The welcome is really like if you were visiting friends

My husband and I just spent three nights at the Domus Henrici. It was just wonderful! Many thanks to Martina who helped with the reservation and to two very helpful girls, Lucie & Camilla, who answered all our questions. They referred us to great local restaurants, suggested the tram to use if we needed and really made us feel at home. Milan, our driver, was waiting for us on the train platform when we arrived and promptly loaded our bags into the car and drove us to the hotel (small fee for this service). Although the hotel is a bit of a walk from all the sights and may be a challenge for some, it was worth every step each afternoon to return to this QUIET and wonderful gem!

Everything about our experience at the Domus Henrici Boutique Hotel was wonderful! From the time we were picked up from the airport (they were happy to arrange in advance for a small fee) until we checked out, everything was first class! This walkup hotel is conveniently located to Prague Castle and many of the sites, but is in a quiet area of the city. The room was large and clean and very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and gracious. It almost felt like staying at a bed and breakfast (in a good way). Breakfast was included and provided a good selection. I would highly recommend the Domus Henrici and would definitely stay there again!

This is just lovely. It is the place we always stay when we are in Prague, and it was the first place we shared a weekend together back in 1996. The park has sentimental memories for my husband, making this place that much more special for us.

There was a reason to climb the hill in Prague and it is not a castle. But the delightful hotel and team of Domus Henrici. An absolute gem at the top of Prague. I thank each one of you for sucha a lovely visit to an incredibly beautiful city. I hope to return one day.

We visited Prague to celebrate my wife's birthday. Having read the reviews for the Domus Henrici, we booked 3 rooms (5,7, and 8). From the moment we arrived we felt completely at home. We were greeted on the pavement outside the front door by a huge smile, and were promptly led to our rooms. All three rooms were large, spotlessly clean, and full of character (including beautiful vaulted ceilings). Martina was on duty throughout our stay and she was always smiling and happy to help. There are a couple of terraces at the Domus Henrici and we spent a couple of hours each afternoon on one of them with a beer or two from the reasonably priced minibar, comparing our days exploring beautiful Prague. The hotel is a fair walk from Prague old town, but it's a very pleasant walk. The hotel is a minute away from Prague Castle. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this beautiful little gem on our next visit to Prague. Highly recommended!

From the moment Milan met us at the airport, we were made to feel welcome in Prague. I'm pleased we made use of the Domus Henrici airport to hotel service - it started our short stay in a friendly, relaxed way. The location up high near the castle is perfect for escaping at the end of the day. On our way back, one night, we even found ourselves walking up through the castle grounds with only the sound of our own footsteps in the courtyards. The staff not only speak English but were generous with tips about where to eat and drink, notable museums and how to use the no.22 tram nearby. So pleased they told us about the hidden bar in Kampa Park. One of our favourite tips - "in Prague, the beer is cheaper than water." We want to return - next time we may choose their young sister hotel in town - the uphill walk could be tedious for a longer stay.

Our week in Prague at Domus Henrici was perfect. Milan picked us up from the airport and drove us to the beautiful and quiet area of Hradcany. The staff at Domus Henrici were warm and welcoming. Our spacious suite was clean and comfortable with a balcony and views across the valley. We walked everywhere, exploring the Castle and Cathedral , Lesser Town, New and Old Town. It's good to explore the back streets away from the tourist trail and to see Prague Castle at night when the tourists have gone and the lights are on. ( The beautiful lights in Hradcany Square are gas lights!) Thank you Domus Henrici for a wonderful holiday.

We were enchanted by our stay in the charming Domus Henrici Hotel last weekend. From the efficient transfer from the airport ( well worth paying to be met by the hotel taxi service for a direct and shorter/quicker route ) to the warm welcome on arrival everything boded well. The staff looked after us very well and the room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent and at every stage of our 3 night stay, we felt cared for with practical help and excellent facilities.
Chose this location if you would like to explore Prague Castle after all the tourists have gone home as it's only a 500m stroll and you get the place almost to yourself. Plus the views are great! The tram stop is close by for all the Lower Town sightseeing.

A nice and quiet hotel with a very good service and breackfast. The location is wonderful, 5 minutes to the Prague Castle and 15 from city center (walking). If you want ( and I recomend) the hotel staff can pick you up at the airport or at the railway station for less than a taxi.

Everything works perfectly, from the reservation of the taxi service (Milan is very agreeable and efficient) to the clean and, spacious suite with a wonderful view. The receptionists are attentive and friendly and in general, the service can be noticed, even though one hardly crosses the personnel doing it, very discreet. Perfect for a good rest after spending your day downtown. This area is calm which provides for an undisturbed sleep. We did not mind at all walking up to this area every night, totally worth it. Big thanks to Martina for the room upgrade! Truly recommendable hidden place!

The Domus Henrici is located on Castle Hill. Is reached in about 2 minutes, the Prague Castle, and yet it shows in the hotel itself is nothing out of the turmoil that exists on the castle hill. The hotel shines with a special charm and great hospitality. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and service minded. A sensational place to stay in Prague. If you want to via Charles Bridge into the city, you just have more of the mountain by the wonderfully romantic streets follow down. We dread the hill climb on the way back you can jump in the tram No. 22, the 3-minute walk from the hotel engages a stop. Always happy!

I have stayed in this hotel for two nights in March, it was a lovely experience. The hotel and our room was very clean, the service of the hotel staff was outstanding at all times. I really enjoyed the breakfast as well. The hotel is walking distance from the Carl's bridge and rest of tourist attractions. The walk back to the hotel will keep you fit as it is bit up the hill :) but its well worth the view!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who fancies a quite time away in Prague.

Prague is a multi-faceted city and different people will find different ideas of what they enjoy. For me the Domus Henrici was exactly what I came to Prague for. Perfectly located just a hundred or so yards from the historical beauty of the Castle and surrounded by the most amazing buildings and fabulous vistas. Domus Henrici is a small and fairly inexpensive boutique hotel with the wow factor.
From the moment you enter you sense tranquility and something special. It does not have a bar, it does not do evening meals or even lunches, but it oozes warmth, welcome and quality.
The suite I booked was simply delightful. The rooms were large, warm and inviting, the decor sublime and the whole feeling was one of quality. The beds large and comfortable with adorable pillows on which I slept like a baby. The lounge with its cavernous beauty and arty chairs and minibar was lovely. The bathroom was sumptuous with a large double bath, excellent toileteries and the whole suite was immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean.
The room had its own private balcony with amazing views of the mountainous countryside of Prague's hinterland, and this terrace was laid out with chairs and tables where wine may be taken on warmer evenings and romantic evenings enjoyed away from the bustle of the city. The whole area around the hotel was so peaceful with many fine eateries including several Czech restaurant offering mouthwatering cuisine and some excellent Czech wine.
The staff were most helpful and charming, nothing was too much trouble and they really made guests feel welcome. I shall most certainly stay here again.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for Easter, a unique place. Located a few steps from Prague Castle, the area and 'strategic because a little' detached from the old town which is crowded with tourists, but still comfortable and easily accessible and well connected by tram 22. Ms. Martina and her husband, Milan, are two wonderful people. Friendly, helpful and super attentive to detail. It is very nice hotel, nice and cozy. If you want to stay away from the chaos of the city center but in a strategic position, choose this hotel. To get into the old town is a 10 minute walk, passing in front of the Prague Castle, and, going down Nerudova you get directed to the Charles Bridge! Highly recommended!

Stayed at D.H. for two nights in late March. From check-in to check-out I had a great experience. Each staff member went out of his/her way to be hospitable and accommodating (from restaurant recommendations and tour scheduling, to retrieving left behind objects in the safety box).
I stayed in a regular single which was quite comfortable -- warm and inviting interiors, with a great view and terrace for enjoying (although I stayed during the cold months).
Location is excellent as the hotel is right next to the Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral. Not a bustling area but just off the beaten path as to be quiet. A bit of a walk to Old Town and the Square, but if this is more your thing you can stay at their sister hotel Domus Balthazar right next to the St. Charles Bridge.
All in all, a wonderful stay and highly recommended for single travelers and couples. I will certainly return. Thanks, D.H.!

I was amazed of this Hotel being like the exterior of most Hotels in Prag does no justice to it's interior settings and presentation. We were greeted by the Most Lovely and Famous Martina! She is a Great Hostess, Helpful and Pleasant to be in company with.
She made a VIP reservation in our Honor at the LVI DVUR Restaurant nearby in Prazsky HRAD.
The service and food was indeed VIP treatment. We will definitely return and patronize these facilities again on our next Road Trip to Pargue.

Very comfortable and clean hotel with a nice atmosphere and beautiful views from the terrace. We had a deluxe room (№ 8). Quite spacious room with a huge bathroom. In cool weather, the room well heated, the battery can be regulated under the desired temperature. The room has tea (tea, coffee, sugar, everything is available and included in the price), mini bar for the add. fee, but the prices are quite normalnye.V room also has robes, but no shoes. Internet in the room worked great, it is also included in the price. Room cleaned every day. Breakfast is modest, but we are quite satisfied. Good location, walking distance to Charles Bridge, about 15-20 minutes bolshe.Prozhivaniem not in this hotel were very pleased. Recommend.

The hotel is perfect!! All the personal is lovely, the Deluxe Room is very big, comfortable ang clean.
Very good location, not far from the Castle and the town center. Another good point is that it is very quiet! Coming from Paris we really were looking for a quiet place and we were not disappointed!
The breakfast was also very good.
We used the pick up airport provided by the hotel: very usefull and not expensive.

This hotel is only 2 mins walk away from the Prague castle and is the perfect ground for exploring the castle and the city. A walk to Charles bridge is only 20 mins. A tram will take you to the old town in 10 mins.

The hotel is very nice and clean. We stayed in the deluxe room number 6. In this room you will find the best view on Strahov Monastery, Strahov Gardens, and Petrin Hill with the Observatory Tower. The view from room number 6 is beautiful. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was always fresh and very tasty with romantic music playing in background. Staff of the hotel was very kind and helpful. We were allowed to leave our luggage in the hotel after check out. If we go to Prague again we would stay in the room number 6 again. We would recommend the hotel to people who do not mind walking up the hill. The hotel is situated in the beautiful area nearby Prague Castle. My boyfriend´s favourite pub ”U cerneho vola” is only 1 minute walk from the hotel. It is Czech traditional pub with the best beer and atmosphere.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It is not right in the centre where all the tourists are so you feel very privileged to be able to enjoy this beautiful old city from above, generally without the noise of the crowds. It is close to the castle which is a good day out. The room was fantastic with gorgeous wooden flooring and fabulous views. Staff were friendly and courteous and breakfast was simple but fresh (nice bread) and very good value. There is a bit of a walk back up to the hotel from the town but you can hop on a tram which stops close by. This is a perfect hotel to stay at if you want something a bit different and will appreciate the age of the building and surrounding area

Beautiful small Boutique Hotel close to the castle. Staff was very welcoming and the room was spacious and amazing. The hotel is quite close to the palace, but a little out of the way of all the tourists. I counted 170 steps from the river up to the hotel!
Our room (suite really) was large and just perfect for us and our 9 year old son. The floors creaked, but what do you expect in a building that is 700 years old!
Breakfast was a lovely continental affair but they happily made scrambled eggs and sausages for our son.
But the best thing about the hotel was the staff. Martine was absolutely great - every request was attended to with no fuss or fanfare....which made us feel really welcome.
Great value for money and we will stay again next time we are in Prague.

My partner and I stayed in room 8 for four nights of absolute bliss. Everything was so easy and pleasant; from being picked up from and taken to the airport by the welcoming driver Milan, to the smiling faces and warm reception from the hotel staff (two were called Michelle and Kamila I think). The room was more like a small apartment, and was clean, warm, and spacious. It has lovely curved ceilings which you will see throughout the architecture in the city. We had a stunning view of Petrin from the terrace, which looks beautiful in the snow.
Domus Henrici is a really pretty and well-located place to stay, with very warm staff who are very patient and helpful if you want to try and practice some Czech phrases! Wish we had booked a longer stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Domus Henrici for 5 nights over the Christmas holiday, and couldn't have had a more welcoming and lovely experience. We arrived by train from Munich, and Milan was waiting for us at the platform for the drive to hotel. Upon arrival, Kamilla was standing at the door to greet us. We have never been greeted so warmly at any hotel. Kamilla gave us a tour of the hotel as well as explaining some important facts about public transportation and currency exchange. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, there was always plenty of hot water, and the breakfast buffet was quite satisfying. The room was quiet and comfortable, and having free wi-fi was an appreciated convenience.
The location of the hotel is just up the hill from the Castle, which is more quiet and less crowded than by the main squares. It is quite enjoyable to begin your day walking downhill - you will appreciate that after the first morning. The tram stop is right above the hotel, so you are able to once again to walk downhill only a few blocks to the hotel at the end of your day.
Thank you to the Domus Henrici for making our Christmas holiday in Prague so enjoyable!

It is a small hotel, but the rooms are very spacious with a huge bathroom and relaxation area that includes up a rocking chair with blanket included. The views, at least from my room (deluxe room) are beautiful, into the woods and Petrin lookout tower. The treatment is excellent by all staff is aware of everything you need, whether tourist information, or more practical issues. I had a problem with my reservation due to family circumstances and resolved with exquisite kindness. The buffet breakfast is very complete. The tables include a candle and a box of matches. Anyway, I recommend it fully.

It is not often I stay in a hotel where I feel I underpaid but this is certainly one of them. I got dropped off by the taxi at what looked like somebody's front door. Couldn't open it so had to ring the buzzer - weird. A friendly young lady came and let me in and showed me into the reception (and office) and I was thinking this is odd, what on earth is my room going to be like. A quick glance across the hall revealed a rather nice looking lounge and breakfast room so perhaps all was not lost?
She told me I was in Room 6 'the best in the hotel' and took me down and up some stairs to reach it. I was astounded when she opened the door, for 'room' read 'apartment. Simply decorated in white, with beautiful polished floorboards it was fantastic. The bathroom was bigger than some rooms I have stayed in, and the view across Prague beautiful.
It was supremely quiet, just the church clock sounding which might sound irritating but was rather nice. The only negative is that the bed was not the most comfortable but I will allow them that small negative in the face of so many positives!
Nearby is a pub with its own brewery, highly recommended, and there a plenty of eateries around the area.
The room was so nice, had it had a kitchen I could have lived there! Apparently I got a good deal at €85 per night, including a nice buffet breakfast, but even in high season it is only €150 - if there are two of you it is a top bargain.
One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and certainly the best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in.

Stayed here for two nights on late November. Room was larger than expected spotless and quiet. Bed was super comfortable.Included breakfast was very good with a wide range of choices. Services arranged through the hotel such as pick up/ drop off at bus/train station worked great at all times. The location is top notch right around the castle. The staff was very responsive to all our questionS and needs. Had a late departure and even though we had already checked out of our room we felt very welcomed by the staff when we went to pick up our luggage and said our final good bye to Prague.

A true home away from home, Domus Henrici was the ideal place for a stay in this absolutely stunning city. A short walk from Charles Bridge and the Castle, the location was just right: away from the tourist crowds, yet close enough to the city. The staff was beyond friendly, giving tons of tips, booking shows, arranging cabs, and being extremely welcoming - all the way from the gentleman who picked us up from the airport. The hotel is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood with views of the monastery and hills. The breakfast was hearty, the wifi fast, and the rooms extremely comfortable.

We weren't sure we were going to like the location since it's away from the center of Prague. However, we loved it because it's in the castle complex, had a great view, and the service was excellent. We arrived and Kamilla gave us a complete orientation and immediately booked a city tour for us. She offered to make us a breakfast "to go" as we would be departing early a few days later (which she did), and she had the housekeeper make up the double bed as twins as we wished. Local restaurants were close, free internet, great rate...what more can you ask for?

Fantastic rooms and unexpectedly large. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle for a peaceful and quite time when required but still close enough for a walk to the Charles Bridge. In fact the walk up and down the steps from the castle area to the bridge and city is perfect to work off the great Czech food and beer.

Highly recommend this hotel for its good location, but what truly stood out was the quality of the staff...very friendly and helpful, which made our stay in Prague enjoyable. They not only answered our questions and met our requests, but also anticipated our needs and guided us to a pleasant weekend. Excellent value!

Great value for money and even better customer service. The location is also great in an interesting part of Prague, perfect I would say. Let's not forget the free WiFi... which nowadays is a necessity and not a luxury. Thank you Domus!

Excellent value for money, very friendly staff who will go out of the way to accommodate requests. Excellent room service and therefore highly recommended. Even the breakfast spread was standard but pretty good.
Location: just about 5-7 minutes from the Prague Castle, also 5-7 minutes from the nearest tram stop. Shops and nice restaurants in vicinity. We walked to the old town across the river on foot several times, the walk was very pleasant and easily doable.
The only little shortcoming is the absence of lifts. We had a baby in a buggy and this was a bit of an issue. However, the staff will go out of the way and help with luggage etc so as to minimise any inconvenience. Overall, highly recommended.

Thank you Domus Henrici for the comfortable, beautiful and wonderful stay at your hotel.
This Hotel was so quite and very private and personal. I have not encountered such experience. I loved it how I got up in the morning and there is food with nice classical music and it is so quite and organized. If I have a choice I will stay at this hotel all over again.

We have just arrived home from a four night stay at Domus Henrici and were so happy with our choice.
The hotel is in a beautiful location near to the castle. The area is quite and very relaxing compared to the busy centre.
We used public transport involving a bus , metro and tram to get to the hotel but if you have lots of luggage the hotel can arrange a pick up/ drop off cheaper than the airport taxi which we used to go home today and it was worth it .
The staff, hotel and location are excellent and I would love to return here someday.

The evidence we have read about this hotel before making our choice we were not disappointed! Class in simplicity! We spent 4 nights in this hotel on a human scale: The welcome was very friendly, the arrival at the airport until departure. The room was spacious, with a terrace and tastefully decorated. The breakfast, served in a soft musical atmosphere was plentiful and varied. In short, we felt like at home. And the icing on the cake: this is true, it is ideally located: next to the castle and 10 minutes walk from St Charles bridge. And it's quiet! In conclusion, we highly recommend this hotel for a sightseeing tour of Prague!

We spent a long weekend in Prague and stayed at Domus Henrici. The hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a great location if, you prefer to be away from the hustle and noise of the city. It is perfectly loacted near the Prague Castle (5min) and walking distance (15-45min) to all the great sights in the old town of Prague. The rooms are spacious and clean.
If we ever return to Prague, we will stay at Henrici.

The Domus Henrici is a very nice place for a relaxing getaway in Prague. It is in a very quiet location, just a 15 minute walk from the city center. Public transportation can also get you within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. We stayed in the suite, which is very large and perfectly comfortable. It has a large living room with a couch, table, computer desk, fridge, and wardrobe. There is a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed and TV (many international channels). There is also a separate bathroom with a spa tub and option for shower (note that there is no shower curtain...basically just standing in a spa tub for the shower). The breakfast was very good and the staff gladly prepared eggs and sausages every day separate from the buffet. It was too cold to enjoy the terraces, but the views were nice. The restaurant next door is very good for traditional Czech cuisine and the "Host" restaurant (about 50 meters away) was also very good. When we go back to Prague, we will definitely stay at the Domus Henrici again.

We stayed at Domus Henrici last week. The hotel, staff and location is AWESOME! If, you prefer to be away from the hustle of tourist and noise it is a great place to be. It is perfectly loacted near the Prague Castle and walking distance to all the great must see sights. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful, including the awesome driver Milan (you must do the pick-up/drop off, it's a great way to start and end your trip). If we ever return to Prague, we will stay at Henrici. Thanks for an awesome "home" while we were away from our home...

Stayed in September, superior room offers a lot of space, very nice bath room, you can enjoy a quiet sleep. Staff is very helpful, friendly and kind, you can rely on their recommendations, mainly restaurants. Due to being uphill you do the trip "the other way round", which gives you a stressless and enjoyable view of the city. Breakfast is rich and tasty. The hotel is reachable easily with the tram, parking not far and for a reasonable price. Thanks a lot!

I stayed at Domus Henrici with my husband during our most recent trip to Prague and absolutely loved it!! The hotel has beautiful views of the city and stunning views of the trees changing colors. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very spacious and quiet in the evenings. The hotel is located near a monastery, which was wonderful for several reasons. First, you could hear the bells from the monastery -- I loved this! Second, the monastery is on top of a hill, which has breathtaking views of the city -- truly stunning. Third, the monastery has a bar that serves drinks until 10pm so it's perfect so a late drink and short walk back to the hotel. The hotel is located on a hill -- my husband wasn't a fan of the walk up so if you have lots of luggage or kids you may want to take the train to the top of the hill.

Planning the trip to Prague chose this hotel is 3 minutes walk from the Castle. Location: To some it may seem that your location is a little away from the Old Town, I have to say that from the center there is a tram stop 1 minute from the hotel door, and we never use because it is a pleasure to climb Nerudova night. It also has the advantage that it is within the grounds of the Castle, and in less than 5 minutes away this: Vito S Cathedral, Golden Alley, Loreto monastery, Strahov Monastery, ... The hotel is located in the mountainside overlooking Prague Tower "Eiffel" Prague. As an added bonus to indicate that a 1-minute walk there is a supermarket. Service: The service is the best in this hotel, do not speak Castilian, but they more than compensate with their great kindness and attention. We stayed five days and every day had a smile and a kind word. Room: The building dates from 1385, so it has no elevator, our room was on the ground floor, and despite having two flights of stairs we had no problems as they are very comfortable. To compensate for this in front of the door had a terrace where there were tables with umbrellas and chairs where we ate more than a day. Report racks and even has a comfortable no closets. We had a room on the router so the Wi-Fi coverage was very good. Additional services: They have a shuttle to the airport / train station. To us picked up and taken to the airport, adapting to a schedule change last minute and with a very friendly driver. Summary: If I return to Prague, be sure to return to this hotel.

We were picked up at the airport without a hitch and arrived at the Domus Henrici after a journey of only about 20min which was great as we couldn't wait to get freshened up before setting off on foot to explore the city! The hotel its self is lovely our room was nice and spacious and a great base for our adventures in Prague. As other reviews state the area around the hotel is nice and quite away from the hustle bustle of the old town. Also its only a short walk to the KGB museum which was one of the highlights of our trip to Prague. Probably won't stay here again the next time we visit Prague as we like to try and see new things but we would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Although beware the the hill coming back up from the old town is very steep / lots of steps and therefore might not i could image would be testing for less active/mobile types, however you can get the 22 tram up from the square on this side of the Charles bridge and then its 5min walk downhill to the hotel.

We enjoyed the Domus Henrici after a two-week cruise through Europe. It met our expectations, after having enjoyed the luxury of the cruise. The included breakfasts were delicious and the variety was huge. The staff were so very helpful and gave us great tips to enjoy the Prague sights, as well as give us advice to return to the hotel with ease. It is located within walking distance of the palace where the views are spectacular. It is easily accessible to the hub of Old Town but far enough way to be out of the noise and congestion. The reasonably-priced room we booked turned out to be a suite complete with living room and jucuzzi bathtub. The only drawback was the weather wasn't warm enough to sit on the lovely veranda with patio lights. I will be recommending this hotel to friends/family planning a trip to Prague.

We visited Domus Henrici for a long weekend, 6.-9.9.2012.
We wanted a place with atmosphere and history, near the sights, but slightly away from the touristic merry-go-round of downtown.
The hotel was everything we could hope for. I love the way they've managed to combine an Unesco World Heritage-site with a modern and well functioning boutique hotel.
We had the suite on the upper terrace. The room (and especially the bathroom) were huge. From our left corner window we could see the citry lights. From the right one the scenery was almost pastoral with the monastery's bee hives and winery.
We even enjoyed the steep cobblestone walks to and from Charles Bridge / the town, but if you don't, there's a functioning tramline just around the corner.
They really aim to do their best for their customers. I had e-mailed beforehands of my coeliac disease. The night we arrived they were still searching for gluten free bread for the breakfast allthough I said I had brought some hardbread with me . The following morning there were fresh bread, hard bread and some corn flakes (full corn) on the table. Given the town, I don't think that was an easy task to accomplish!
I also want to recommend the shuttle service to/from the airoirt they provide. The driver, Milan, is very nice and informative, and the service smooth and reliable - and cheaper than a taxi!

Our two week visit to Prague was our annual vacation when we hope to relax and see places by foot while learning all we can about the people and their culture and cuisine. We used Domus Henrici as our home base. Our suite was spacious with a balcony overlooking beautiful Petrin Hill. The staff was available around the clock and was always very helpful with all our requests. They even provided breakfast for us early on our last morning without our asking so we could leave early for the airport. Located in the Hradcany (castle town) area, it is busy with tourists during the day because of its rich history and beauty but it is wonderfully quiet at night. Prague is hilly and the hotel is in the upper section but we had no problem walking to any area of the city in 15-20 minutes. Trams are available for those not wanting to venture on foot. Many restaurants are close to the hotel. Compared to other European countries we have visited, the prices of hotels, food, and guides are very reasonable. We highly recommend Domus Henrici for a stay during a visit to Prague.

We spent 5 nights in the Domus Henrici this summer (2012).
We used the transport provided by the hotel from the airport which is much easier than a taxi and you get a guaranteed price. Saves any hassle with Prague taxi drivers who have a dodgy reputation.
The hotel is in an old terraced building overlooking Petrin Hill. The views from the rooms at the back of the hotel make it seem like you’re in a rural retreat rather than close to the centre of Prague.
The rooms are well appointed and while not luxurious there is everything you need for a comfortable stay.
We loved the location, close to the Castle in a very old area of Prague with more historic buildings nearby than you can shake a stick at!
However, it is a 20 minute walk down to Charles Bridge & the Old Town and the hotel is in a quiet location, and that might not suit all travellers. For example on our first night we arrived at the hotel about 10pm and looked around the local area for something to eat for supper but all local restaurants were shut.
The walk down the hill to Mala Strana and the River is relatively easy and there are a number of different routes down; a walk through the castle being the most scenic and I’d recommend a stop at the Garden Café Taussig, for great views over the old vineyards to Charles Bridge and the City Centre. [Note that you can walk through the castle grounds for free]
However, walking back up to Domus Henrici is a different matter – there’s a LOT of steps! An alternative way up with a more gradual incline is Nerodova Street, with plenty of bars & cafes to stop at for a rest on a hot day. Most days we’d take the easy option and get the #22 tram back up to the hotel (get off at stop pohorelec) – the hotel will sell you combined tram & underground tickets.
Most evenings we ate down in Mala Strana, but there is also an excellent restaurant called Pecklo in the Stahov Monastery winecellars just up the road from the hotel that is well worth a visit for both the uniqueness of the location and the quality of the food- the hotel will book you a table.
Prague is a fascinating city with amazing buildings & history at every turn. It seems natural on a visit to Prague to stay in a hotel steeped in history and the domus henrici, being 600 years old, fits the bill perfectly.

At the beginning of July 2012 my wife and I stayed 3 nights at this delightful boutique hotel at the end of our holidays. We chose to stay here after careful review of Trip Advisor and because we had previously rented an apartment in the Florenc area, and wanted to have a contrasting location and experience of Prague, which we had thoroughly enjoyed. We had a lovely, large, well furnished room with views across the city and the nearby Mala Strana and Petrin Hill. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the whole experience was a great way to end out time in Europe.

We returned from a trip to Prague this past week. We stayed at the Domus Henrici Hotel while we were there. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The private terrace that overlooks Petrin HIl is a wonderful spot to sit and soak in the beautiful views. I enjoyed eating my very tasty breakfast on the terrace and taking in the beauty of the rolling hills, green lush trees, meadows and castle-like structures. Just beautiful! The hotel is immaculate and very nicely decorated. It is very quiet and so a good night's rest was easy to get. The personnel were very helpful and very pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is very close to the Prague Castle and a little bit of a walk to the St. Charles Bridge. I would stay here again in a heart beat! Another quick note...this hotel was voted as one of the top 100 hotels in Europe.

The hotel is truly a Hidden Place. So much peace I have rarely experienced in a city. The staff is very helpful and friendly area. As might take some luxury hotel that example. The rooms are nicely decorated and functional. There is a minibar, a kettle with tea and coffee. In the bathroom are shower gel, soap and body lotion and a hair dryer. WIFI is available in all rooms, in the living room there is a computer available. The breakfast offers a balanced breakfast. To relax, there are two small cozy terraces. All in all a secret. Who does not want to stay in a large and anonymous hotel is in good hands and will feel great! Anonymous chic and luxury can be found here, but a unique and warm at home with lots of charm

My husband and I stayed at this little gem of a Boutique Hotel in July, 2012, and we had a wonderful experience of the Czech hospitality. We stayed in the big suite, which was a great value for the money - a large living room with a separate bedroom and quite a large bathroom, all very clean, and decorated tastefully. There were quite a few windows that we could open and we had access to the terrace that was quite large, and had a beautiful view as well.
It was very close to the main square/town, but also on a very quiet street, which was great.
We have to say specifically about the staff who worked there - the most wonderful people, since it makes a lot of difference where the people are friendly and nice,
